UKAN’s work on aid quantity and quality focuses on a range of issues and this section of the website presents background on these issues and how UKAN is engaging on them.

In terms of aid quantity our primary focus is to hold the UK government to its promise to give 0.7% of GNI to overseas aid from 2013 and encourage other donors to keep their aid promises.

On aid effectiveness, a significant focus of our work has been to scrutinise the UK’s progress toward meeting the Paris Declaration commitments, but also key aid effectiveness policy areas such as budget and program-based support, conditionality, evaluation, technical assistance, transparency and use of alternative aid modalities.
